Thursday

Today (by that I mean Thursday) was just brutal. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just the best term word for exhaustion that I can think of while being exhaused. Roofing is actually pretty enjoyable and the weather was beautiful, but walking around on something that isn't flat takes a lot of extra energy. By the time we finished for the day I could have headed straight for bed. That was, of course, an impossibility since Thursday is trivia and fraternity night.

Not long after arriving a tubby liberal let loose with the pearl of wisdom, "I hate George Bush. I would assassinate him if I could." Okay Mr. Lardo, why don't you practice on yourself? Practice makes perfect!

Things quickly picked up from there. A writer and photographer from the Star and Sickle showed up to take pictures and do some casual interviews for a forthcoming piece on blogger nights. Usually I'm the one taking the photos so it was a bit disconcerting being on the other end, especially since I hadn't gone home after work to take a shower. I can only cross my fingers that I don't make the final cut.

Update: Woke up, got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head. Now I think take some advil because I am so sore.
